Jennifer Ly is the recipient of the 2017 Rotch Travelling Scholarship.

“Art Freeports and Architectural Speculations for Inclusion” examines the contemporary art freeport as an emerging building typology, and speculates on possibilities for an inclusive interface.

The Rotch Travelling Scholarship, established in 1883, operates as one of the oldest scholarships of its kind in the United States. It is an annual two-stage design competition in which one person, deemed the Rotch Scholar, is funded to travel the world and study architecture.
